Cat Greenfield is an emerging singer/songwriter and performance artist based in New York City. For years she has worked as both a solo folk singer and in musical theater, often releasing videos of her various projects and performances on her YouTube channel. With an eclectic and adventurous style the singer weaves elements of Americana, Pop, Rock and Bluegrass into her sound.
“So I Know You’re Mine” is the latest single and video from Cat Greenfield, and her first to be distributed widely across all major streaming platforms. Released worldwide on April 23, 2021, the track is a sultry love song with a classic Brazilian Jazz vibe.
The song features a live, organic arrangement of bass, keys, drums and guitar. In this mellow Bossa Nova-style lament, the singer strums her acoustic guitar and delivers a sultry and suggestive narrative, pleading with her lover to reignite their spark. With just the right amount of drama and a smoky tone she trades verses with a cool Jazz lead guitar as she sings, “Kiss me like you used to, when you couldn’t help yourself.”
On April 26th Cat Greenfield released the video for “So I Know You’re Mine.” The short film finds the classic beauty performing her song in a stark cinematic scene that fits the timeless vibe of the recording perfectly.
