Kronen’s Psychedelic Love Buzz

Kronen is an electronic Rock band from Denver, Colorado. The songwriting sibling duo of Kato (drums, vocals) and Caleb (guitar) formed the band in 2012 as a weekly featured act at The Orb Room, a club the two owned in Boulder. Their popularity grew quickly in Colorado. Soon they were headlining other well known clubs in the area including the Fox Theatre, Bluebird Theater, Gothic Theatre, and several large music festivals.

The band has spent the better part of the past decade performing live and travelling the world, connecting with fans as far away as Europe and Asia. They developed a reputation for energetic live shows and genre-bending experimentation. In that time they released two albums, an EP and a handful of singles. As is the case with musicians around the world, the pandemic shut down the party for a while. Now they are back with a brand new video that celebrates their live experience.

“Love Buzz” is the latest single and video from Kronen, released worldwide to YouTube and all major streaming services on April 23, 2021. Mixing equal parts 60’s psychedelic Rock and 80’s Pop, the track is the perfect introduction to the Kronen sound. Kato delivers sexy lyrics in a bedroom voice that brings to mind great New Wave acts like Missing Persons or The Waitresses. Meanwhile she, Caleb and the band lay down a trippy groove of delay and tremolo soaked guitars and retro synths.

The video for “Love Buzz” combine those elements of sex and psychedelia with the energy of the band’s legendary live shows. Kronen worked with director David Digioia to mix footage from a 2019 live performance with wild green screen visuals that bring a groovy TRON-on-acid vibe.

We aimed to make this song accessible to the general public while staying true to our unique musical roots. The other goal of this video is to exhibit what it’s like to come to one of our lively shows and experience Kronen’s intense energy.
