Since their launch, Blind Season has produced an impressive catalog of powerfully emotional Alternative Rock. The band debuted in 2020 with the single “The Dark Bedroom.” That record launched a schedule of monthly releases from the prolific and complex band. Regular readers of The Static Dive have been following along with each new track.
Led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Shane Sigro, Blind Season rose from shaky beginnings of lineup changes, creative differences and interpersonal drama. By early 2020 the three piece band’s final lineup had solidified and they hit the studio. One single at a time they began working their way toward their debut album, due later this year. In the process the band has connected with listeners worldwide. Each of their releases counts its numbers in the tens of thousands.
“Swim Away ” is the latest single and video from Blind Season, released April 4, 2021. The track finds the band expanding their sound and exploring a broad cinematic production. Orchestral strings, piano, choral vocal harmonies and ambient synths add an expansive and dramatic feel to this tale of loneliness and disappointment. As Sigro fantasizes about escaping the hardships around him, the band rolls out a powerful and emotional downtempo Alternative Rock ballad.
