BT Willy is an emerging rapper from Miami, Florida. A lifelong Hip-hop fan, in 2019 he embarked on his own musical journey. Inspired by his heroes like Biggie, Kendrick Lamar and fellow Miami artist Luther Campbell (2 live Crew) he spent some time working on his rhymes and discovering beats. Last year he was ready to hit the studio. “Prince Fresh” is the debut EP from BT Willy, released worldwide to all major streaming platforms on April 25, 2021. On the five song collection the rapper delivers autobiographical stories from the neighborhood.
My inspiration for the project came from my everyday life. TBH I don’t like to rap about shit I haven’t done, been in or been around.
BT Willy
From the slow Trap groove of the opening track “Say My Name” to the classic cinematic sounds of “Paris,” BT willy’s new record explores a world of Hip-hop styles. His beats incorporate Rap, Rock and Pop elements. “Broke Bitch” features some nice overlapping guitar samples. Tracks like “Bitch Ima Mack” and “Ain’t Shit Change” roll on the same 70’s P-Funk grooves as classic 90’s West Coast gangster rap of Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. It’s a great vibe. Throughout the record he drops stories about women, money and the grind with a smooth and laid-back flow.
