Turbulence’s Stunning New Video “For Me”

turbulence

Turbulence is the professional name of Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall singing star, Sheldon Campbell. Since 2000, the singer has enjoyed tremendous success in the Reggae world with his versatile style, authentic groove and exceptional vocal talent. Over the years he has shown a unique ability to easily slide between hardcore rap and smooth, soulful singing.

“For Me” is the latest video from Turbulence, released to YouTube on May 8, 2021. The short film is the long awaited visual to the singer’s 2015 hit single. The track is a touching love song which showcases his impressive abilities. Over a classic, organic Reggae groove Turbulence sings a soft and soulful tribute to his love. Scratch guitar, organ and a perfect Caribbean rhythm section lay down the vibe while Turbulence’s excellent lead vocal is buoyed by layers of smooth backing vocal harmonies.

The song’s video, directed by Mario Allen of Lone Wolf Filmz, visually tells a love story which is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. The clip takes us from the first meeting of a young couple to their marital union. Turbulence presides over the ceremony in the idyllic Hope Botanical Gardens in Kingston, Jamaica. Interspersed between scenes of the happy young couple frolicking through the garden are flashes to another time in which they battle cancer together. It is a striking visual of two very different manifestations of a devoted love affair.

I’ve done over a 100 videos, and I can tell you I hold this one dear to my heart. The message of the song hooked me and sparked ideas from the stars. This song isn’t just the ordinary love song, it’s magic, so I knew I had to make this production stand out.
