Alega and Flackax are a songwriting and music production duo from Norway. Each is an accomplished artist in their own right. However, in 2020 the two launched a collaborative relationship which has spawned three singles so far; “You Can Leave My Head Now,” “Divina Requiem” and their latest, “Brave.”
Released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 3, 2021, “Brave” is a powerful, deadly serious but ultimately uplifting song. The track opens on a bed of ambient synths as timpani drums roll in the distance. Shortly, a driving downtempo beat joins the mix as layers of synths overlap to create a great 80’s Electro-Pop, Synthwave vibe.
Guest vocalist J. Beauchamp delivers an emotional monologue about the power of human persistence. The singer is in top form and matches the song’s slick production with a smooth and expressive Pop tenor. It is a powerful message that will resonate with listeners around the world as they contemplate their place in the new normal.
“Brave” is about looking in the mirror and not seeing yourself for who you really are. Its about getting back up every time you fall. It’s about taking risks in life and believing in the power you have as a human being. It’s about taking the road even if you don’t know the destination.
