DomoMoon is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-genre adventurer Dominique Durr. Born and raised on Chicago’s Westside, the artist found early inspiration in the eclectic musical tastes of her father. Growing up she listened to everything R&B to Rock & Roll and Jazz to Hip-hop. All of these flavors now find their way into her musical stew.
She first stepped into the world of entertainment through modelling and acting. The multi-talented and diverse creator soon made it known that she could sing as well. A series of fruitful collaborations followed. Throughout the past couple of years she has lent her soulful stylings to songs by; Da Xcepshun, Weekend Playaz, Flashwatspoppin, Jamil, Songbyrd, Liddius Goddius, Justine & Mikey Everything. All the while she produced her own soulful solo material, releasing four singles in 2020.
2021 brings DomoMoon to a new collaboration with Estabrook Road Records. The first release of this new partnership is the smooth Neo-Soul/Trap Jazz of “Ring, Ring, Ring.” Over a cool slow jam groove, the singer let’s her lover know that he needs to call. She delivers this message with a chill downtempo soul that brings to mind the great Jill Scott. The singer ends the sultry ultimatum with the simple question, “What are we?”
