MoonHawk is the professional name of the international musical duo of Seán Hawkins (Weatherford, Oklahoma USA) and Jimena Morales (Paris, France). They have been making music together for over 10 years. They debuted the MoonHawk project earlier this year with the single “Raining Rose Petals.” With that track they introduced an otherworldly vibe of ambient guitar and lush vocal harmonies.
Their dreamy post-rock vibe has already connected with tens of thousands of fans around the globe. “Falling Star ” is the latest single from MoonHawk, released worldwide on Zebra 40 Music record label to all major streaming services on April 23, 2021. On the track the duo creates a timeless sound, citing inspiration from Irish singer Enya, Icelandic band Sigur Ros, Viking warriors and Egyptian philosophers.
Our music was born in faraway lands, from the ocean waves to the sap in vines.

With the simple arrangement of Hawkins’ guitar and Morales’ vocal, the duo paints an ethereal and otherworldly scene. A melodic guitar delicately picks arpeggios as its harmonics float into a distant horizon of electronic effects. The reverberating tones create soft ambient clouds of sound as Jimena sings esoteric poetry with images of stars and sacred trees in the whispered tones of a softly sung alto. It has a beautiful and meditative vibe.
