Chromarama is a Hardcore infused Metalcore band from Indianaplois, Indiana. The four piece group has gone through some line-up changes over the years. However, in 2020 they found new creative energy with their current and definitive roster. Since the band made their wide distribution recording debut with the single “Not Dead Yet” in 2019 they have continued a steady string of releases, reaching fans worldwide on multiple platforms. 2021 is already looking like an eventful year for the band as their current single is their most successful to date.
“Being Dead Sounds Magnificent” is the latest single and video from Chromarama, released worldwide to all major streaming services and YouTube on January 11, 2021. In addition to having a fabulous title, the song is a powerful shot of adrenaline fueled by intense energy and expert musicianship. The band rocks out with breakneck speed guitar and bass riffing from Dave Martin and Zach Black (respectively) and absolutely insane drumming from Cam Woodworth. The band traverses time signature shifts and tempo changes without missing a beat. Meanwhile vocalist Geoff Halbherr keeps the intensity cranked to 11 with an otherworldly scream.
The socially distant neon-Metal video for “Being Dead Sounds Magnificent” was shot and edited by the band themselves. Check it out below. You can also hear the track on the Deep Indie Dive playlist. Who are your biggest musical influences?
Our biggest influences are Every Time I Die, Converge, and Cancer Bats.
What are your plans for the future (musically)?
We will be recording a new EP this year, releasing several new music videos, and are hoping to play lots of shows now that venues are starting to open back up.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
We have a strong DIY work ethic. All of our music videos have had some involvement from us, with 4/5 being filmed, shot, and edited by us. The other one was filmed by our good friends, but we edited and produced it. We design most of our own merch and we built our own website. We strive to be involved with every part of this band and music that we can.
