Blind Season Tries In Vain To Save You

Blind Season

Blind Season has been steadily building an impressive catalog of dark, emotionally powerful Rock since their debut in November, 2020 with the single “The Dark Bedroom.” A series of monthly releases have seen the band’s following grow exponentially in that time. The Static dive has been following their progress. With each new release the band’s 90’s inspired Alternative vibe is pulling in tens of thousands of new listeners.

“Save You” is the brand new single and video from Blind Season, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 10, 2021. The new track finds the band taking a detour from their often technically complex instrumentation. Musically the song is a downtempo, dark Alt-Rock track featuring a straightforward guitar/bass/drums arrangement.

The music may be simpler but the signature Blind Season aesthetic of complex emotional strife is fully intact. As the band lays down a memorable groove, guitarist/vocalist Shane Sigro delivers a cryptic breakup song. The song’s video features a solo Sigro singing to an alternate version of himself. Mirror images paint two sides of the same scenario. The narrative reaches its emotional peak in the song’s chorus as the goth adorned frontman sings, “If you go, who will save you? If you go, who will hear you?”

It’s about a long distance relationship that didn’t work out. It comes across powerfully though and I’m proud of that.
