Sarantos is the professional name of Chicago-based independent musician Sarantos Melogia. He is a man of many talents and apparently limitless creative energy. In addition to his accomplishments as an award winning multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and producer, he is an author, a poet and a radio show host. For the past 7 1/2 years he has followed a rigorous schedule which he vows to continue, “until the day he dies.”
In the first week of every month he releases a new song and lyric video. In the second week he releases a new music video. The third week of each month he publishes a new book chapter. And during the 4th week of each month he drops and a new uncut ‘Behind The Scenes’ video and poem. Then, each year in November he releases a full CD, a book and a surprise instrumental CD. He will continue this logic-defying schedule in his words, “Every year. Forever.”
Somehow the prolific artist also finds time to host an international radio show titled “The Songwriter Show” which is broadcast in all 206 countries in the world and every state in the US. His tremendous creative output has not gone unnoticed. He has millions of followers online on multiple platforms. The talented creator has won awards and nominations at events around the world, including; The International Music & Entertainment Association Awards, Hollywood Music In Media Awards, Josie Music Awards and the Hollywood Songwriting Awards. His primary genres are Pop and Rock, however he has recorded songs in every style imaginable.
“I Never Catch the Train ” is Sarantos’ single and video entry for May 2021, released worldwide to every major streaming service. Musically the track rolls on a mid-tempo Pop/Rock groove with shades of Classic Rock psychedelia. A percussive acoustic guitar rhythm and some nice slide guitar give the track a bit of a Western vibe as Sarantos sings of lost love, missed opportunities and bad luck.
