Ferbs is a singer, songwriter, rapper and producer based in Florida. He came to music as a catharsis after a series of traumatic events. His father’s death was soon followed by the ALS diagnosis of his grandfather. Ultimately he and his mother moved their entire lives from Los Angeles, all the way to the East Coast. To deal with these difficult events, he began writing. The result of this therapeutic creativity was his debut album “The Califloridian.” After an enthusiastic reaction from fans on multiple platforms, Ferbs knew it was time for a second album.
I realized how powerful storytelling can be in the form of music. I quickly bought new audio equipment, built myself a studio space, and began working on a new album.

“Bravado” is the new single from Ferbs and the first from his forthcoming album “Where is the Light?” The track opens with a wild psychedelic mix of a distorted and processed bass guitar matched with a low synth bass. Rock drums set a heavy groove but soon morph into a hard Trap beat. Ferbs steps to the mic and follows the theme of the song’s title with a rapid fire barrage of clever rhymes and Hip-hop posturing.
After a while the groove changes and the song temporarily shifts gears to Indie Rock. However, it is a brief interlude and the track finds its way back to Trap. As the song progresses Ferbs adds layers of emotional complexity. Much of the song seems lighthearted at first, but it soon becomes clear that there is more going on here.
