Kevin Millan is an emerging multi-genre singer, songwriter and producer from Sebring, Florida. A lifelong musician, he has been creating his own original music since he was just 14. He worked an active live performance schedule in his early years, but the tunes eventually took a backseat to real life. Now, 3-kids later the 28 year-old tattoo artist and competitive shooter is making another go of it.
“Hey Baby” is the debut single from Kevin Millan, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 5, 2021. The song introduces a talented songwriter and musician with a unique sound mixing elements of Pop, Rock and Hip-hop into something completely new. The tune opens with a melodic chord progression that combines a George Harrison-style Pop-Folk vibe with 90’s Alternative backing vocals.
The slightly psychedelic acoustic Indie Pop sound brings to mind some of the more mainstream work from The Flaming Lips. A Lo-fi beat drops as the singer enters the mix with a sugary Pop melody for an equally sweet love song. The tune rolls on a breezy summertime groove. Kevin’s vocals are the perfect mix of Indie cool and Pop shimmer as he delivers an immediately memorable and universally relatable sing-along love song.
