Brad Lee Curtis is an Indie Folk singer/songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Wisconsin, Brad got his start in the Milwaukee music scene, performing and recording with his band Low Down Sound. He fell in love with the art and process of recording music, so much so that in 2017 he relocated to Nashville, TN to pursue the engineering program at Dark Horse Institute.
Once he had completed the program Brad turned his focus back to writing and performing. Now firmly settled in Music City, he was ready to launch his solo career. And then the pandemic happened. The songs he had begun to record lay dormant for months. However, as the world started opening back up, Brad was finally able to finish his tunes and release them. His debut single “Surrender” dropped in late 2020. The song wowed critics and fans alike and drew comparisons to artists like The War on Drugs and Fleetwood Mac.
“Waiting for the Tide” is the latest single from Brad Lee Curtis, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 4, 2021. The song is a dreamy, downtempo love song written for the singer’s wife. The visual and poetic lyrics use images of the sea, the sky and surf to paint a portrait of an undying romance. Ultimately the singer imagines disappearing from this world into the tides of time with his love. The song was originally inspired by a romantic walk on a beach in Thailand.

The song is beautifully recorded, with Curtis’ smooth tenor and acoustic guitar at the heart of the mix. As the rhythm section sets a mellow Americana groove, ethereal electric guitar chords float in the periphery.
