Regular readers of The Static Dive are well acquainted with Mystic Levello. In late 2020 the otherwise anonymous singer/songwriter launched his project with the single “This Old Guitar.” Since then he has produced nine more songs, sometimes coming less than a month apart. Each track brings us to a deeper understanding of the artist’s vision.
Mystic Levello’s music ranges in style from quiet and contemplative Folk to lush Adult Contemporary. The arrangements are sometimes acoustic, sometimes ambient electronic. However, it is the content of his lyrics and the artist’s philosophical intent that defines his sound. From originals like “Here Comes the Real You” to his cover of the classic “Yesterday When I Was Young,” he encourages us to look both inward and outward to the people we love for happiness and spiritual peace.
“I Had a Dream About You” is the latest single from Mystic Levello, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 17, 2021. This time the talented singer/songwriter delivers an uplifting Country/Folk song full of feel good vibes. As the title suggests, the song is a message to a loved one. It is an expertly executed and upbeat tune featuring a tapestry of high strung and fingerpicked guitars. In that setting he sings the simple and touching message, “Your love, it keeps me going. That’s all I know.”
