Realmannyg’s EDM Summer Funk – Take It Easy

Realmannyg is the professional name of Emmanuel Olowe, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Houston, Texas. The Nigerian-American creator is a filmmaker, writer, visual artist and musician. He began his entertainment career in 2012 with work on the short documentary “Bury the Sky”. He has worked numerous jobs in film since and in 2017 landed first associate producer gig in the British feature film ‘Despair.’

In 2020 Olowe decided to try his hand at music. After spending the downtime of last year perfecting his sound, Realmannyg made his debut as a self-described Afro-EDM artist in 2021. He hit the ground running. Since his debut, the producer has delivered seven singles in the first six months of the year. The fans have reacted. Each of those songs counts its streaming numbers in the thousands. His most recent release is his most successful so far.

“Take it Easy” is the latest single from Realmannyg, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 24, 2021. The track opens with ambient keys and a soulful female vocal. After a brief intro the beat drops, and the tune hits the dance floor. A classic Disco groove meets an Afro-beat fueled mix of Funk bass and Wah-wah guitar. Organ, synths and percussion expand the horizon and paint the periphery as the singer reassures us, “I know what you want.” It’s a smooth, infectious summertime vibe.
