Bry444n (pronounced: Bryan) is a singer, rapper, songwriter and spoken word artist with a poet’s pen and a philosopher’s vision. The Seattle, Washington artist made his solo professional debut in 2020 with the seven song album “The SlumFlower Series.” With that record we were introduced to a rapper with a distinctly unique sound. As a writer he mixes new age lyricism with an uplifting message and positive vibes. He delivers his poetic, visual imagery with soulful melodies and laid back, confident flow.
“Angels” is the latest single from Bry444n. The song is the second track from the rapper’s new EP, “Equinox,” released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 12, 2021. Bry444n is joined on the track by fellow Emotion Entertainment artist, FobmobJojoo. The two emcees drop a narrative that highlights the struggles of navigating an ever changing music industry.
This is cerebral stuff. The rappers mix spirituality and motivation with historical and Pop culture references to everyone from Socrates to Al Capone and from Left Eye to Jesus. Musically the song rides on a rolling Hip-hop beat featuring bouncing 808 bass hits. The psychedelic sounds of backward piano, strings and woodwinds paint the periphery. Its a chill Hip-hop groove with substance.
