KGenius is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from St. Catherine, Jamaica. For over a decade he has established himself as a household name recording artist in the world of Reggae. In that time he has released a steady string of hit singles and EPs. Since the 1980’s he has performed on stages all over Jamaica. His goal as an artist is to uplift spirits, hearts and minds through music.
“Jungle Hunt” is a new single and video from KGenius, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 18, 2021. On the track the singer is joined by award-winning Ghanaian radio personality Ohemaa Woyeje. In the video the two dance and sing together, surrounded by young bikini-clad women on a gorgeous beach in Ghana. It’s a beautiful scene for a chill romantic groove.
To match that tropical setting, the tune rolls on a laid-back electronic Dancehall Reggae beat. Ambient synths and smooth percussive keys set a mellow mood. Meanwhile, KGenius trades verses with Ohemaa Woyeje as he tries to convince her to be his wife. The young beauty responds in the positive. She tells him he’s, “come to the right place” and promises to elevate the singer as she says “You are the king and I am the queen.”
