R3N3 is an up and coming composer and producer from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He made his debut in early 2021 with the song “One Day.” With that track he introduced a mellow, downtempo style marked by chill piano melodies and relaxed Hip-hop beats. A prolific composer, since that first track he has produced two more singles and now a 4 track EP. Although “One Day” featured a laid-back rap, all of R3N3’s work since has been instrumental. He creates an atmospheric mood music that lives somewhere between Ambient and Chill-hop. It’s a fabulous understated vibe in which it is easy to get lost.
“Tranquility (The Beat Tape)” is the brand new EP from R3N3, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 25, 2021. The four song collection finds the artist diving deeply into his own ethereal space. Marked by low-register piano chords and simple melancholy melodies on the higher keys, each track rides on a low and slow lo-fi beat. The songs flow smoothly together, functioning more as components of the whole rather than as individual, standalone pieces. Subtle sonic shifts direct the listening experience. Like the nice bit of psychedelic backward tracks on the song “3AM.” This is daydream music. It is dim the lights, put your feet up and chill music. And it is beautiful.
