BrandonSonnet is an independent singer, songwriter and producer with a distinctly unique perspective. By his own account he was, “born and raised next door to the Arctic Ocean.” The Inuvialuit (Western Canadian Inuit) musician says that the cold and melancholy scenes of his youth have influenced every aspect of his art, from his choice of vocal effects to the moody minor keys in which he composes.
Since his debut in 2020 the prolific producer has delivered four singles as well as last year’s 7 song collection, “Odyssey.” His sound is a genre-fluid mix of Electronic styles and Pop/Rock song structures. In addition to the stark conditions of his childhood, he credits a diverse list of musicians as inspiration, including; Nirvana, Prozzak, Dr. Dre and David Bowie. In the short time since his solo career debut he has already made a big impact with fans. Each of his tracks has reached thousands of listeners around the globe. His most recent single is his most successful to date.
“You Seem Fun” is the latest release from BrandonSonnet, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 25, 2021. The track is a hypnotic blend of Synthwave, EDM and experimental Electro-Pop. Atmospheric synths introduce the tune. Soon a driving House beat drops and is met by trippy vocals, processed with robotic effects and psychedelic reverse reverb. The song is hypnotic, with an almost subconscious impact. It’s very cool stuff.
