Nanoviola is the professional name of Russian-born musician, composer and producer Natalia Novikova. Now residing in Germany, the multi-talented artist has forged an entirely new and unique path in the music world by combining her loves of both EDM and Classical music. She is an accomplished viola player with a degree majoring in the instrument from the University of the Arts, Bremen. Since her professional recording debut in 2020 she has released two singles with more on the way.
“VIOLATHENE” is the brand new single from Nanoviola, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 2, 2021. The track opens on a dramatic, classical viola introduction. However, soon the beat drops and the song quickly morphs into an upbeat and powerful EDM jam. Natalia mixes hard EDM/Dubstep grooves with her moving, inspiration and cinematic viola. Electronic and organic sounds mix to create a wildly creative and infectious new vibe.
On July 23, 2021 the prolific young composer will release a follow-up single in a very different vein. The new track promises to be in a “Future Rave” style. The visionary musician continues to push the boundaries of her instrument, EDM and Classical music. She will continue to find new ways to introduce her instrument of choice to a new world of music fans.
Violas have a deep and warm sound, and this is my goal to make this instrument famous… A lot of people don’t even know what it is and call it violin.
