CS Fresh is a singer, songwriter, producer and rapper from the United Kingdom city of Birmingham. He began making music about four years ago and dropped his first music video “Poundcake” in July of 2018. Since then he has released a steady string of singles. He has a genre-fluid sound mixing Hip-hop styles with EDM grooves and soulful R&B. A frequent collaborator, many of CS Fresh’s songs feature guest vocalists from around the world including American rapper AJ1K, UK rapper Omen and soul singer Tanice.
“Mr. Call” is the latest single from CS Fresh, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 25, 2021. This time the UK rapper is joined by the soulful vocals of fellow Brit, Lost Petal. Over a hard breakbeat rhythm and smooth electric piano chords the two vocalists take turns on this funky examination of the missed opportunities and communication breakdown inherent to the confusion of young love.
Lost Petal takes the first verse and the choruses, conjuring a bluesy vibe. She shines on the track with a tone and style that lands somewhere between the R&B cool of Amy Winehouse and the cheeky attitude of Lily Allen. CS Fresh takes the second verse with an impressive chopping flow and some really clever rhymes. The two complement one another perfectly.
