Juno Pop is an independent experimental songwriter and producer from Minnesota. He made his professional recording debut in 2018 with the release of his single “The Forest.” That song introduced an adventurous electronic composer and producer with a flare for the avant-garde. In the subsequent three years since the song’s release, the artist has delivered two more singles as well as the 4 song 2020 EP, “Eclipse.”
In addition to his solo work, Juno Pop is a member of the band Triple Sec. Although the group has yet to drop any official wide distribution releases of their own, Juno’s new single is a collaboration with his band mate Robby. On the track the duo brings some lyrical content and a Hip-hop feel to the creative producer’s typically instrumental sound.
“Aqua” is the latest single from Juno Pop and Triple Sec, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 7, 2021. Riding on a slow Trap groove the tune combines Juno Pop’s signature experimental downtempo electronic vibe with a stream of consciousness meditation on the end of a relationship. As ambient synths and electronic arpeggios fill the horizon, the two artists take turns rhyming and singing cryptic tales of love lost and the heartache that accompanies it.
