Tai Mistyque is a rising R&B singer and songwriter who made her professional solo debut in 2020 with the four song EP “Last Summer.” That record introduced a talented young artist with a knack for both writing and singing smooth, romantic R&B ballads. Since that debut Tai has released three more singles. Each new release finds new fans for the soulful singer.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Tai Mistyque has been performing for over a decade. After starting on piano as a young teen, she soon shifted her focus to singing. Now based in Chicago, Tai has spent the past two years introducing and building her solo career. Mistyque is now preparing to release her soon-to-be-announced follow-up studio EP.
“Addy ” is the new single from that record, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 9, 2021. The mellow R&B/Pop groove finds her singing about the excitement and confusion of new love. The tune rolls on a downtempo R&B/Trap beat paired with some nice Spanish guitar. Ethereal background vocals and ambient keys expand the horizon. Tai Mistyque delivers a laid-back and soulful lead vocal. She even drops a bit of melodic rap in the second verse. The song has a very chill and sexy vibe.
