Sine is the professional name of German composer and producer Thomas Hauser. Over the past 13 years he has released two full length albums, three EPs and over a dozen original singles. Through his solo work, collaborations and numerous remixes he has established himself as a preliminary artist in the international chillout electronic music scene. His music has been played on terrestrial, satellite and internet radio stations around the world.
“Air” is one of a series of popular singles Sine released in 2020. The original version of the song mixed ambient synths, ethereal vocals and live instrumentation for an atmospheric chillout track that connected with millions of listeners worldwide. On July 9, 2021 Sine Music released “Air (Christoph Sebastian Pabst Remix)” in advance of the upcoming EP “Air Remixed,” which will feature three different remixes; one by Christoph Sebastian Pabst, on from Tauon and one by Hauser himself.
Pabst’s version opens with a sparse arrangement of synths and melodic keys. A bass guitar lead from the original takes a prominent role early on and meets an angelic female vocal. We float through the mix on a bed of lush strings. It is a beautiful and cinematic interpretation of Sine’s original ambient piece. Check out “Air (Christoph Sebastian Pabst Remix)” below.
