Vella is the 17-year old mononymous singer from Tampa, Florida who went viral recently on social media with videos of her powerful original songs and covers of Pop, Rock and Soul classics. Her deeply soulful vocals and impeccable technique belie her young age. With the chops to easily slide from a roaring belt to a sweet and soothing falsetto, she is quickly turning heads throughout the music industry.
The talented young singer’s classic blues-infused tone and broad dynamic range bring to mind legendary Rock/Soul singers like; Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse and Christina Aguilera. Since the release of her debut hit “I See Red” last year, the young singer has dropped eight singles and connected with millions of fans around the globe. Now she has a stunning new video of her solo acoustic performance of her most recent hit.
“Pull the Trigger (Acoustic Version)” is the brand new live video from Vella, released to YouTube on July 9, 2021. The clip opens with the singer standing alone at a microphone. A player-piano accompanies her in an otherwise empty room. For the next 3:52 she delivers a powerhouse performance of deep Soul, low wailing blues and operatic highs. On the track she pleads with a lover to put her out of her misery and officially end a relationship which she has apparently destroyed. It’s a great song and a phenomenal performance.
