MACKAVON is a rising multi-genre artist based in Broward County, Florida. Born in Jamaica he moved to the United States when he was just four years old. Growing up, he was exposed to artists from across the spectrum of popular music. His household was filled with the diverse sounds of artists like Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, 50 Cent, Usher and many more.
As he got older, MACKAVON became a big anime fan. The Pop, Punk and Rock songs from the soundtracks of his favorite shows and movies further added to his broad musical palette. He began to write his own original songs and perform them live. Growing up in Plantation, Florida he always felt like an outsider. Music gave the young artist a way to connect with his peers.
Over the past 5 years he has released a series of tracks, each reaching a wider audience than the last. “Iced Out Feelings – Unharmed Remix” (feat. Lil Shock) is the latest single from MACKAVON , released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 16, 2021. The original 2020 version of the song was his most successful to date, already clocking over 80K spins on multiple platforms. In keeping with the rapper’s diverse musical tastes, the song’s “Unharmed Remix” pairs the original track’s melodic Emo Trap vibe with a healthy dose of Rock guitar, complete with some slick Metal shredding.
