Iryne Rock Inspires & Defines What Love Is

iryne rock

Iryne (pronounced Irene) Rock is a fast-rising Nigerian American Christian Pop artist. Born in Nigeria and now living in Maryland. She began her musical journey as a child, falling in love with the music of American Gospel and Worship artists like Kirk Franklin, Panam Percy Paul, DC Talk, Newsboys, Michael W. Smith and the legendary Cece Winans. Although she has been writing her own music since childhood, it wasn’t until recent years that she mustered the confidence to share them with the world.

In 2018 Iryne Rock made her professional recording debut with the release of her album, “Just For You.” The record produced hits like “Fire in my Veins” and “So Endless,” establishing the singer as a powerful new voice in the Christian music community. Another popular single “Cleanse Restore Renew” followed in 2020. Now Iryne is back with a brand new uplifting and inspirational Pop track.

“What Love Is” is the latest release from Iryne Rock, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 14, 2021. The song Rock embraces a mainstream Pop sound while delivering a message of love and faith. A percussive synth melody opens the track and is met by smooth mid-tempo Pop groove with a Caribbean flare. The singer enters the mix with an effortlessly soulful vocal. Lyrically the song defines love through the lens of Rock’s deep rooted faith.
