Sean Essary is a singer, songwriter and producer from Rogers, Arkansas. A lifelong musician, Sean’s creative background lies primarily in the traditional acoustic stylings of Bluegrass music. However, after attending an online songwriting course from legendary One Direction hitmaker Ryan Tedder, Essary is taking a dramatic turn in his music career and delving deeply into the world of Pop music.
“Dangerous” is the latest single from Sean Essary, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 30, 2021. The track is Sean’s second solo song of 2021 following the April release of his debut “Better at Being Lonely.” Gone are the flat top guitars and banjo thumb picks of the Essary’s past. On “Dangerous” the songwriter has fashioned an entirely new Synth Pop sound inspired by the analog synths and Pop hooks of the fabulous 1980’s.
From the track’s opening 8-bit riff to its closing Jan Hammer-esque percussive synth arpeggios, “Dangerous” revels in the sounds and style of classic Electro Pop. Ambient synths, a retro drum machine beat and some tasty Funk bass create a cool Pop groove. Meanwhile, with a radio-ready lead vocal and layers of perfectly executed multi-part harmonies Sean Essary delivers a narrative about a toxic yet addictive romantic relationship.
