Pourtash Drops New Pop/Punk Trap

Pourtash is the professional name of singer, songwriter and Pop/Punk Skate star, Jonathan Julian. The 23 year-old Southern California native grew up primarily in San Diego. Since childhood he has pursued his two passions of music and skateboarding. He made his professional recording debut when he was just 17 years old. Since then the prolific rocker has delivered over a dozen singles and EPs. In that time he has worked with industry heavyweights like Brennan Savage and Danny Way. He has connected with fans worldwide and amassed a sizable following on social media and Spotify.

“Pierce My Ears” is the latest single from Pourtash, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 26, 2021. The track is his second of 2021 and an excellent introduction to the artist’s multi-genre mix of Rock guitars, Hip-hop grooves and Pop hooks. A classic Emo guitar riff introduces the song and remains at the heart of the mix throughout. Soon a mellow Trap beat drops and the singer enters the mx with a sleepy Emo narrative about the confusion of love and the anxiety that comes with it. The refrain brings us back to the clever and catchy hook, “Pierce my ears so I can be like the cool kids.”
