Benestelle is a Gospel and Contemporary Christian singer, songwriter and composer who recently launched a successful solo singing career. The move was the next natural step for an artist who has enjoyed a lifetime of music and worship. Originally from West Africa, Benestelle is now a Canadian citizen. Through her work with the international Loveworld Nation ministry she has worked as a back-up singer, choir member, worship leader and choir coordinator.
Her music and faith have brought Benestelle to audiences all around the world. From North America to South Africa she has shared the stage with gospel icons such as Sinach, Frank Edward and Joepraize. She has also represented her adopted home as the regional music lead for Canada.
In March of 2020 the singer made her solo debut with the release of the moving “Love of My Life.” An emotional love ballad to God, the song finds the virtuosic singer alternating between Gospel soul and Operatic power over an ambient bed of strings and a lush mix of electronic and organic instrumentation. The song and video close with Benestelle and her backup singers joyfully declaring “I Love You” in multiple languages.
The singer followed the success of her debut with “For Me,” a quiet tale of her personal relationship with Jesus. The song’s video features a stirring and graphic depiction of Christ’s long walk to Calvary. Benestelle closed out 2020 with the international Gospel hit “We Give You.” With a contemporary Pop production, the joyful celebration of God’s omnipresence connected with radio and television audiences worldwide.
“Hallelujah” is the latest single and video from Benestelle, released worldwide to all major streaming services on July 3, 2021. Her first release of the year, the song is also her most popular to date with audio and video streaming numbers in the tens of thousands across multiple platforms. With a cinematic production and full gospel choir behind her, the singer delivers a powerful and soulful performance, exercising her impressive vocal range as the track builds in intensity.
