Waterford, Ireland-based singer/songwriter Suzic has been making music since the 1980s when she entered a Dublin recording studio as a teenager to record songs with internationally renowned producer and songwriter Dick Keating. The young artist was inspired to pursue a life in music by the example of her grandfather Samuel McNulty who played fiddle professionally.
In recent years, Suzic has worked with producers in the United States and Ireland to deliver a steady string of singles. With a sound that ranges from singer/songwriter Alt-Pop to experimental EDM, the versatile artist has connected with fans worldwide. Fiercely independent throughout her career, the singer has delivered hit after hit across multiple streaming platforms without the assistance of any record label.
“Free” is the latest single from Suzic, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 10, 2021. The track opens on a lush mix of ambient synths and a melodic guitar progression as Suzic enters the mix with an inspirational vocal. Soon a massive beat drops, taking the song into a cinematic downtempo EDM territory. The song briefly returns to its Alt-Pop guitar roots in the second verse before an electronic snare roll brings the track back to that expansive Deep House beat.
