Elliot Wren is an emerging Indie-Pop singer/songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts. The twenty year-old non-binary artist made their debut in 2020 with the single “RIP My Diary.” However, that launch was a decade in the making. The singer has been writing original music since they were just ten years old. Already deeply ingrained in the thriving Boston music scene, Elliot has performed at and organized numerous songwriter events. In 2019, they participated in the ‘All You Got Tour’ for performers aged 24 and under. They even had a spot at Boston’s high-profile First Night celebration.
“Girl in the Flower Patch ” is the latest single from Elliot Wren and their first of 2021. The tune is a sweet love song set to a mellow Indie-Folk arrangement. In an infectious sing-song melody, Elliot tells the tale of a romantic summer afternoon spent with the girl from the song’s title. A nice acoustic guitar and electric piano arrangement gives the track a timeless feel and hints at the subtle influence of Classic Folk/Rock singers like Joni Mitchell. Meanwhile the infectiously catchy melody brings to mind mainstream Pop artists like Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat. It’s a beautiful sound, with Elliot’s breezy vocal at the heart of the mix.
