TheDreamKing (TDK) is a multi-talented Hip-hop artist from the city of Inglewood in Los Angeles County, California. He began making music about three years ago and made his wide distribution debut in 2020 with the track “Dream.” Since then, the prolific rapper has dropped a total of six singles and has reached music fans around the world. Engineering, mixing and mastering his own music, ThaDreamKing is at the helm of his new West Coast rap empire.
“Where At” is one of the latest singles from TDK, released worldwide to all major streaming services earlier this year. On the track he is joined by fellow LA rapper Curty Rock. With a beat produced by Nick Bianchi and executive produced by B’Rad, the song rides on a hard Hip-hop groove featuring elements of modern day Trap and old-school Boom Bap. TDK opens the track with a dark Drill rap that tells the tale of a fateful evening. The violent encounter leaves him numb. He tells his girl, “How can i tell you I love you when I don’t have any feelings?” Curty Rock follows with another real life into the personal toll taken by gang violence.
The one thing that influenced the track the most was a tragic moment. I had to speak up about things.
