MC Tranquility Finds His Zen In Better Days

  • by
MC Tranquility

MC Tranquility is an emerging independent Hip-hop artist from New Rochelle in Westchester County, New York. Over the past few years the rapper has dropped a string of singles to his SoundCloud page. His sound mixes downtempo Lo-fi grooves with a lyrical style, a laid-back flow and a mindful eye toward self-improvement and spiritual enlightenment. After a few months of silence he’s back with his wide-distribution debut in the release of two brand new tracks.

“Better Days” is the latest single from MC Tranquility, released worldwide to all major streaming services on September 1, 2021. A mellow acoustic guitar introduces the tune as Western Buddhist scholar and philosopher Alan Watts drops a bit of self-love science. Soon the beat drops and the songs kicks into an eeryskies produced organic Chill-hop groove of guitar, bass and drums. Soulful backing vocals introduce MC Tranquility as he enters the mix with a tale of rising above a recent bout of heartbreak and pain. It’s an intimate and real delivery, with the perfect laid back flow to match the song’s chill musical and lyrical moods. The wise Mr. Watts closes out the track with a clever Yin/Yang analogy.
