Kilo House’s New Dose Of Filth & Disorder

Red hot LA-based experimental Bass Trap producer Kilo House is set to drop the brand new album “Filth & Disorder” on Thursday, September 9, 2021. This is the prolific artist’s first full length release of the year following a string of EPs, singles and collaborations with artists like The Static Dive and Lust1nfyr3. On the new record, Kilo takes his horror themed experimental EDM to a whole new level.

The 9 tracks on “Filth & Disorder” flow together like the mixtape from a late night rave at Freddy Kreuger’s house. Kilo House’s music mixes hard bass drop bangers with classic horror movie quotes and other Pop culture references. On the new record’s opening track he dives head first into the chaos with some ‘Night of the Living Dead’ terror. A zombie victim screams, the beat drops and we are thrust into a dark, disturbing and deviously fun Kilo House party.

Hard bass drops meet Kilo’s signature minor-key melodic shifts and wild syncopated sub-rhythms. He samples from all corners of cinema and uses the sounds as tools in his compositions. From the ‘Candyman’ creeper on “What’s Blood For” to Christian Bale’s ‘American Psycho’ on “Utterly Insane PT. 1,” sociopaths and killers serve as emcees in a slaughterhouse jam. Kilo mixes in screams, chainsaws and machine guns as melodic and rhythmic components in the tracks. And it is a ton of fun.

Fun is the point in everything Kilo House creates. The musician’s own success despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles has taught him to embrace the joyful insanity of life. Raised in Oklahoma, Kilo has never let adversity get in the way of his dreams. Despite being bound to a wheelchair, his love of music drove him to learn to play the drums and join a hardcore band. Then a trip to LA changed his life again. He attended and eventually graduated from the prestigious ICON Collective recording school, launching a skyrocketing career as a composer and producer.

“People take life way too seriously. I write the Trap music that I do to hopefully show my fans the fun nature that life truly is. Turn up, and then Stay up.”
