VCManny Sets Out To Take Over Canadian Hip-hop And Put Vancouver On The Map

VCManny is a fast emerging Canadian Hip-hop artist. Since his 2019 debut, the young rapper from Vancouver has amassed an impressive catalog. In that time he has released a full length album, an EP and over a dozen singles. He first appeared on The Static Dive in January upon the release of his single “Bad Ting,” a collaboration with Hip-hop superstar YBN Nahmir. His music has connected with fans around the world and his songs have each earned tens of thousands of spins on multiple platforms.

In recent months VCManny has been working to connect Vancouver with Toronto’s scene. On March 1, 2021 he released the song “Movin’ On” with Toronto rapper LB SPIFFY, who recently made waves online when Kylie Jenner was twice seen jamming out to his songs on Instagram. Soon afterward VCManny posted in-studio pics of well-known producer BeatsByBenji, with comments from Toronto DJ Pressa further solidifying the two cities’ musical bond.

“Menace to Society” is the latest single from VCManny, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 28, 2021. This time he has teamed up with Toronto rapper Top5 (Hassan Ali). The track is a dark gangsta rap set to a low and slow beat. Dramatic strings and deep bass hits ride a laid-back Trap groove. Both rappers are in top form as they deliver this hard drill rap.
