Todd Barrow is a singer, songwriter and guitar player from the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Regular readers of The Static Dive are well acquainted with the Country crooner. The prolific artist’s music has appeared on these pages numerous times over the past two years. Since his debut in 2017 he has released nearly two dozen singles and the full length album “Texas Country Nation.” Along the way he has won numerous regional and national awards. He has shared the stage and studio with legends and his music has been featured on TV, on the radio, and in publications around the world.
“Good Luck” is the latest single and video from Todd Barrow, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 19, 2021. The tune is an upbeat 12-Bar Country shuffle with a healthy dose of raw Rolling Stones-style Rock & Roll. The guitar, bass and drums ensemble kicks out the jam with abandon, pausing only briefly for a very groovy little tremolo guitar interlude in the bridge. Meanwhile Todd delivers a series of vignettes about people chasing their dreams despite all of the obstacles along the road. In the chorus he raises a glass in solidarity and offers a simple, “Here’s to your success. Good luck.”
