“Always Been You” is the debut single from Jay Mezla, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 21, 2021. With the song Jay introduces us to their unique sound that combines the DIY aesthetic of modern Lo-fi Indie Pop and 1920’s old-timey radio. The song opens on a ukulele strumming the simple chord progression of the verse. Soon Jay enters the mix, singing a sweet and innocent love song. An ensemble of bass, drums and keys join in during the chorus, carrying the song’s infectiously catchy hook.

She is truly wonderful.
