“Clarinet Vibe” explores the idea of limiting the timbral diversity to achieve the maximized aesthetic and emotional impact.

The record’s natural, organic recording brings to mind New York City’s legendary CBS Studios Jazz recordings of the 50’s and 60’s. As the rhythm section flows through Be-bop (“Things to See”) and Bossa Nova (“Smooth Ride”) grooves, Stefan’s clarinet trades melodic textures with the vibes to create a beautiful acoustic Jazz sound. As the record progresses it dives deeper into Jazz fusion grooves on tracks like “Last of a Kind” and the very modern “Searching the Skies.”
