Mark Ware’s Moving New Video ‘Carry On’

Mark Ware is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and pianist from the Atlanta, Georgia area. A veteran of his hometown’s legendary music scene, he and his band Shiloh have been a mainstay act at popular local venues since the 1990’s. They are known for performing Rock, Pop and Country hits from the 50’s to the present day. In recent years Mark has been focusing on his own original material, working with longtime friend and record producer Will Turpin. Turpin is the owner of the ‘Reel to Reel’ recording studios in Jonesboro, Georgia and is best known as the bassist of the popular rock band Collective Soul.

The last two years have been particularly eventful for Mark Ware. In 2019 he won the ‘Entertainer of the Year’ award from the Atlanta Country Music Association. In 2020 he released his debut solo record “Southern Ways.” Through his association with Reel to Reel he has worked with legendary artists like Patty LaBelle and Gladys Knight and Country superstars Mark Wills, Demun Jones, and Rhett Walker.

“Carry On” is the latest single and video from Mark Ware, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 1, 2021. Accompanied by a classic Country/Rock ensemble of guitar, bass, drums and keys, Mark sings a powerful Southern ballad about family, love, loss and faith. He looks back on past mistakes and thanks God for helping him find a better life. In the song’s moving video we find the singer and his family comforting one another as they mourn the loss of a loved one.

The band is in top form throughout the track. As the rock solid rhythm section holds down a slow Country groove, smooth slide guitar and Hammond organ riffs paint the edges of the mix. Mark Ware’s piano shines, especially in the song’s bridge which features a nice honkytonk piano/harmonica jam. The single is accompanied by the song “Six Feet Away,” an emotional look at the pain and chaos of the last two years at home and around the world. The track leans a bit more into Rock arena, with some particularly nice lead electric guitar.
