Mutti Lewis is a singer, songwriter, philanthropist and author with a powerful message and a rich musical and spiritual history. He was born and raised in the ghetto of Glendevon in the city of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Growing up he faced poverty and violent social unrest. As an adult, determined to help children in similar situations, he created the “Just Suppose World” and donates 50% of everything he sells from his tours and merchandise to the charity.
Over the past two decades Mutti Lewis has released a series of albums and written a collection of books. All of his creative endeavors are inspired by his deep spiritual and philosophical beliefs. Through a series of visions and divine intervention, the singer received a warning of dark days ahead for our world. He uses his art as a vehicle to communicate his belief that the world can only be saved by heeding these warnings.
“No Chains Around Our Feet (Still We’re Not Free)” is the latest single and video from Mutti Lewis’ album “Jesus Was Born in the Ghetto.” The modern Folk tune is set to a mellow piano and and acoustic guitar arrangement. In the video we see Mutti and his guitar, delivering a prophetic tale in a quiet but deadly serious tone. Images of world leaders and political upheaval surround him as he warns, “It’s gonna take so much more than man, to set man free.” It is a powerful message of faith, protest and peace.
