Mercury Messiah Is Surfing a New Classic Rock Vibe

Mercury Messiah Is Surfing a New Classic Rock Vibe 1

Mercury Messiah is a Rock band from Montreal, Canada who finds inspiration in the rich history of Classic Rock. The band was formed in 2015 by childhood friends and songwriting partners Johnny Dims (vocals) and Mano Diles (guitar). They were later joined by Alex Brunel (drums) and Corrado Johnston (bass). The group is making their debut in 2021 with a powerful guitar driven sound inspired by the legends of the genre like Led Zeppelin, Rush, and The Beatles.

“Sunlight Surfing” is the debut single and video from Mercury Messiah, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 20, 2021. The song opens on a guitar and vocal intro. Johnny Dims sings a mellow tune about a hippie scene in the summer time in a powerful upper-octave vocal that brings the great Geddy Lee to mind. Soon the band kicks in with a cool 70’s Classic Rock-inspired vibe.

Mano Diles delivers an endless string of perfect Bluesy psychedelic Rock riffs as the laid-back tune rolls on. In the bridge the track drops to Styx-style analog synth break before exploding into a massive, emotional Arena Rock outro featuring more guitar acrobatics and thundering Rock groove from  Brunel and Johnston.
