Norwood is a singer, songwriter and performer who has spent the better part of the past decade spreading his message of love and inclusion on festival stages around the world. Born and raised in a conservative Southern town outside of Atlanta, Georgia, the young and misunderstood artist embraced music as a survival tool as he came to terms with his own identity and sexuality. Since his solo professional recording debut in 2010, the multi-talented artist has delivered a string of successful singles featuring his distinctive positive vibe.
“Morning Light” is the latest single and video from Norwood, released worlwide to all major streaming services on Friday October 15, 2021. Funky percussive synth arpeggios open the track as the singer enters the mix with a soulful Pop tale of love and longing. The song rolls on a smooth downtempo dance groove as the video shows scenes of party people dancing at an outdoor festival. Written at the height of the pandemic, the track was recorded remotely with Norwood working in the US and producer Tiago Antunes in the UK. Lyrically, musically and visually “Morning Light” looks forward from that dark time to better days ahead.
