Elise Palmer’s Empowering New Pop Anthem

Elise Palmer

Elise Palmer is an independent singer/songwriter, born and raised in South East London, United Kingdom. She made her debut in 2018 with the single “Turn Up.”  That track introduced listeners to talented young artist with R&B soul and a taste for Pop hooks and dance grooves. After a series of collaborations and covers, she returned earlier this year with the new original song “Baby Girl.” That track delivered a powerful tale of the world’s forgotten children, set to a funky Caribbean groove. It was also a hit, earning tens of thousand of spins across multiple platforms. And it marked the beginning of a new creative phase for Elise.

“Man in Me” is the latest single from Elise Palmer, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 8, 2021. Once again the singer pairs hard hitting social commentary with an infectious Pop groove. Musically, the track combines a modern Indie-Pop hook with Disco House beats, retro New Wave synths and a soulful vocal. Throughout the song Elise Palmer delivers a clever call for gender equality. Like a modern day ‘Just a Girl,’ the song calls out strong women by sarcastically mimicking society’s criticism of them. Then, in a catchy chorus Elise offers the witty tongue-in-cheek apology, “I guess that’s just the man in me.”
