SAIL Debuts A Beautiful Crime

SAIL

SAIL is the professional name of singer, songwriter and musician Salvador Antonio Itriago Leon. A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Salvador grew up in a musical household with a classically trained musician father and Pop aficionado mother. He got his start in music on the drums. An early fan of Classic Rock, the young musician idolized Rush’s virtuosic drummer and songwriter, Neil Peart. Like his hero, he soon expanded his scope to include musical composition on a number of instruments.

In 2022, SAIL will release his debut solo album “Radiology.” A concept album of sorts, the record will be a love story told in 12 parts. Intended as an immersive escape for listeners, the singer says the record will, “Explore various themes by delving deeper into the emotions that encompass the human psyche.” The multi-talented artist recently gave fans their first taste of the new project with a brand new single.

“A Beautiful Crime (Love Story Part 3)” is the debut single from SAIL, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 18, 2021. The track is built on a classic Jazz/Pop groove. A Big Band/Swing horn ensemble rides a Pop/Rock mix of guitar, piano, bass and drums. Meanwhile SAIL tells a tale of love and poverty driving him to steal a rose from someone’s garden. Though the flower definitely wins him favor with his girl, he is subsequently riddled with guilt over the indiscretion. It is a fun song featuring a rich musical arrangement.
