Jonivan Jones’ New Sounds & That Same Old Rush

Jonivan Jones

Jonivan Jones is a singer, songwriter, musician and storyteller from Little Rock, Arkansas. Since he first hit record on that old tape recorder in 1994, the guitar-slinging tunesmith has been travelling these great United States and entertaining temporary residents of honkytonks and campfires with his unique brand of rootsy Americana music.

Originally recording and performing as the artist ‘animalsound,’ the singer made his debut as Jonivan Jones in 2014 with the song “Buffalo.” That track introduced a style steeped in the traditions of American Folk music. Since then, Jonivan has dropped a steady string of singles, EP’s and a full length album in 2020. His music is an extension of his love of nature. It is a sound rooted in the music of his beloved Arkansas and influenced by the Rock, Blues, Country and Folk he has encountered in his travels.

“Same Old Rush” is the latest single from Jonvian Jones, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 1st. The track opens with the classic mountain music sounds of a high-strung acoustic guitar paired with harmonica. Soon the ensemble expands to include the rumbling and bluesy riffs of an electric guitar and a walking Country bass line. Jones matches that rustic mix with a soulful Country Blues tenor as he sings of the blurred lines between past and present.
