Cam Rostami is a talented guy. We first heard from the LA-based artist in November of last year upon the release of his single “You Got It.” That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer with taste for genre-bending Lo-fi Indie Rock and a knack for writing infectiously catchy Pop hooks.
Over the past 3 years Cam Rostami has produced an impressive catalog of work, including two albums and over a dozen singles. When he’s not making music, you can find him in front of the camera. Cam is an accomplished actor with a resume that includes blockbuster films like 2010’s True Grit and the 2019 holiday romcom, “Feast of the Seven Fishes.”
“Stop Dead” is the latest single from Cam Rostami, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 29, 2021. This time around he has injected his signature Lo-fi sound with a heavy dose of Grunge. A fantastically overdriven guitar opens the track with a power chord crunch as Cam’s vocal enters the mix with a true life tale of some seriously bad luck. In his unique stream-of-consciousness style he relays the full experience of being hit by a car, from injury to recovery.
