Mama Said’s New Retro Napa Valley Cool

Mama Said is a new band making waves in Northern California with their decidedly retro style of guitar driven Rock & Roll. Fronted by the powerhouse female vocal duo of Latifa Reeves and Jennifer Knight, the group is ushering in a new sound that proudly stands on the shoulders of Classic Rock giants.

Since their 2019 debut with the single “Save Me,” the band has been rocking NorCal with a Pop/Rock groove reminiscent of legendary bands from the late 70’s and early 80’s. Their sound pairs the impeccable harmonies and soulful lead vocals of Reeves and Knight with the Blues-infused Classic Rock riffs of guitarist Derek Bromley. They have released four singles to date, each leading up to their debut album “Change In The Weather,” due in the Spring of 2022.

“Everybody” is the latest single from Mama Said, released worldwide to all major streaming services on November 12, 2021. The track opens with a cool bit of Acid Rock wah-wah guitar before kicking into a percussive mid tempo groove. Latifa and Jennifer then deliver an inspirational story of unity and perseverance. It’s a great tune, from the first-pumping chorus to Bromley’s searing lead guitar solos.
