The Way of Cain is a new international band based jointly in Colorado Springs, CO in the United States and in Geelong, Australia. The project was formed by the duo of Adam Wilkie and Clinton Johannes. They are the former guitarist and former vocalist (respectively) of the popular Australian Christian Rock band Teramaze. In 2021 they are setting out on a brand new ministry.
“Redemption” is the debut single from The Way of Cain, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 15, 2021. The song combines elements of Groove Metal, Modern Rock and Progressive Rock to deliver the band’s emotional spiritual plea. Ambient keys open the song for a dramatic gothic sound. Soon the beat drops and a hard Modern Rock track takes shape.
Centered around a killer, rhythmic guitar riff the song mixes Prog Rock complexity with radio-ready Melodic Rock hooks. The performances are excellent throughout. Wilkie shreds throughout as the rhythm section lays down a solid groove. Johannes delivers his powerful message of faith with equal parts technique and emotion. The song will hit every mark for fans of Progressive Christian Metal.
